1. Introduction

This Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use Policy explains the permitted and prohibited uses of https://collabwiseacademy.com/, CollabWise Academy accounts, webinar platforms, recordings, educational materials, and related professional learning services.

CollabWise Academy provides webinars and training covering AI solutions and automation, career development, professional skills, employee wellness, leadership and management, sustainability, innovation, and workplace performance.

By accessing our website, creating an account, registering for a webinar, downloading learning materials, or participating in a training session, you agree to comply with this Policy.

2. Intellectual Property Ownership

Unless expressly stated otherwise, CollabWise Academy or its applicable licensors owns the intellectual property rights in:

• Website text and page content;
• Webinar presentations and recordings;
• Training videos and audio;
• Worksheets, guides, checklists, and templates;
• Course structures and learning activities;
• Graphics, illustrations, and photographs;
• Logos, names, slogans, and branding;
• Assessments and survey materials;
• Downloadable resources;
• Original articles and publications;
• Webinar transcripts and captions; and
• Other original educational content.

These materials may be protected by the Nigerian Copyright Act 2022, trademark rules, contractual rights, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Displaying or providing access to material does not transfer ownership to the user.

3. Limited Licence for Participants

After completing a valid registration, CollabWise Academy grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the relevant webinar and accompanying materials.

This licence is provided solely for:

• Personal learning;
• Professional development;
• Authorized internal workplace learning; and
• Another purpose specifically approved in writing.

The licence does not give you the right to sell, publicly distribute, sublicense, republish, or commercially exploit the materials.

Access may be limited to a particular account, participant, organization, session, or access period.

4. Permitted Use

Subject to any additional restrictions stated on the relevant material, you may:

• View webinars for your own learning;
• Download materials where a download option is provided;
• Keep one reasonable personal copy of permitted resources;
• Take personal notes;
• Apply general knowledge and skills learned during a session;
• Quote a short portion where legally permitted and properly attributed;
• Share your own original notes, provided they do not reproduce a substantial part of our materials; and
• Use materials internally where a corporate licence expressly permits it.

Permission to download a file does not mean that the file may be uploaded elsewhere, shared publicly, or used as part of another commercial training service.

5. Prohibited Use of Learning Materials

Unless CollabWise Academy has provided written permission, you must not:

• Copy or reproduce a substantial part of a webinar or resource;
• Record, screen-capture, or livestream a session;
• Upload materials to a website, cloud folder, video platform, or social network;
• Share restricted recordings with unregistered individuals;
• Sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially distribute materials;
• Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices;
• Edit a recording in a misleading manner;
• Translate and distribute materials as a competing resource;
• Present our materials as your own work;
• Use our content to create a substantially similar commercial course;
• Extract slides, transcripts, graphics, or templates for resale;
• Use automated scraping or downloading tools;
• Use protected materials to train an AI model without authorization; or
• Assist another person in carrying out these activities.

Limited uses expressly permitted by applicable law are not prohibited, but they must not be expanded beyond the legal exception.

6. Webinar Recordings

Participants may not independently record, photograph, transcribe, capture, stream, or distribute a webinar without prior written permission.

An official recording supplied by CollabWise Academy remains protected material. Access is personal unless a corporate or group licence states otherwise.

You must not:

• Share an official recording link publicly;
• Bypass access restrictions;
• Download a streaming-only recording;
• Create clips for social media without permission;
• Add an instructor’s voice or image to unrelated content;
• Use a recording to impersonate a speaker; or
• Sell access to a recording.

7. Account and Access Security

Accounts, webinar links, meeting credentials, and passwords are intended for authorized users.

You must not:

• Share login details;
• Sell or transfer an account;
• Allow multiple unauthorized users to access a single registration;
• Publish webinar links;
• Use another person’s account without permission;
• Attempt to bypass participant limits;
• Create misleading or fraudulent registrations; or
• Use automated systems to create accounts or reserve spaces.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account where you authorized the activity or failed to take reasonable steps to protect your credentials.

Suspected unauthorized access should be reported promptly.

8. Acceptable Website Use

You may use the website only for lawful purposes connected with learning about, registering for, purchasing, or participating in CollabWise Academy services.

You must not:

• Interfere with website availability;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized administrative access;
• Test system vulnerabilities without written permission;
• Introduce malware, ransomware, spyware, or harmful code;
• Conduct denial-of-service activity;
• Circumvent security or rate limits;
• Scrape personal information;
• Use bots to make fraudulent registrations;
• Manipulate prices, currencies, or checkout functions;
• Submit false payment confirmations;
• Impersonate another person;
• Use the website for fraud or deception; or
• Encourage another person to violate this Policy.

Good-faith security concerns should be reported privately rather than publicly exploited.

9. Participant Communications

Webinar chats, discussion spaces, feedback forms, and other interactive areas must be used professionally.

You must not submit content that:

• Is threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or harassing;
• Is sexually explicit or grossly offensive;
• Promotes violence or unlawful activity;
• Infringes copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or trademark rights;
• Contains malicious links or code;
• Discloses another person’s private information;
• Misrepresents your identity or qualifications;
• Contains unauthorized advertising or spam; or
• Disrupts the learning environment.

We may remove content or restrict participation where reasonably necessary to protect users, instructors, systems, or legal rights.

10. User-Submitted Content

You retain ownership of original questions, comments, presentations, examples, testimonials, feedback, or other material you submit.

When you submit content for participation or support, you grant CollabWise Academy a limited, non-exclusive right to host, display, reproduce, and use it only as reasonably necessary to:

• Deliver the relevant webinar;
• Respond to your request;
• Facilitate a learning activity;
• Maintain an appropriate record;
• Protect security; or
• Improve the service.

Identifiable participant content will not intentionally be used in public advertising without appropriate permission unless it was knowingly submitted for that purpose.

You confirm that you own submitted content or have permission to use it.

11. Confidential and Third-Party Information

You must not submit, display, or distribute:

• Confidential employer information;
• Client records;
• Private communications;
• Trade secrets;
• Restricted workplace documents;
• Personal information belonging to another person;
• Licensed content you are not permitted to share; or
• Material subject to a confidentiality obligation.

If a learning activity requires an example, you should use fictional, anonymized, or non-sensitive information wherever possible.

CollabWise Academy may remove or restrict material where there is a reasonable concern about confidentiality or third-party rights.

12. Responsible Use of AI Tools

AI webinars may demonstrate independent AI platforms. Participants remain responsible for using these tools lawfully and ethically.

You must not use a demonstrated AI tool to:

• Generate unlawful or deceptive material;
• Impersonate another person;
• Infringe copyright or trademark rights;
• Process personal data without authority;
• Circumvent workplace rules;
• Generate malicious code;
• Create discriminatory employment decisions;
• Spread deliberately misleading information; or
• Misrepresent AI-generated work as independently verified professional advice.

Do not submit passwords, payment information, confidential documents, sensitive personal information, or unauthorized third-party data to an AI service.

A demonstration does not grant rights to the third-party platform, model, outputs, datasets, or branding. The provider’s separate terms may determine permitted use and ownership of generated content.

13. AI Training and Data Extraction Restrictions

Unless written permission has been obtained, CollabWise Academy materials must not be used to:

• Train or fine-tune an artificial intelligence model;
• Build a commercial dataset;
• Create embeddings for an external commercial service;
• Develop a competing chatbot or learning platform;
• Automatically extract webinar transcripts;
• Reproduce an instructor’s voice, appearance, or teaching style; or
• Generate synthetic media that falsely appears to involve CollabWise Academy.

This restriction applies to automated and manual collection intended for AI training or commercial dataset development.

14. Corporate Training Use

Corporate clients may receive broader internal-use rights where stated in a written agreement, proposal, invoice, or licence.

Unless the applicable agreement expressly permits it, a corporate registration does not authorize an organization to:

• Make materials publicly available;
• Resell the training;
• Share recordings outside the registered organization;
• Remove ownership notices;
• Use the materials to train external customers; or
• Claim authorship of CollabWise Academy content.

Employees and contractors must follow the restrictions connected with the corporate registration.

15. Third-Party Intellectual Property

Webinars may refer to independent software, AI platforms, articles, books, research, images, trademarks, or other third-party material.

Such material remains the property of its respective owner. Reference to a third-party name or platform does not transfer its rights to CollabWise Academy or participants.

Participants must comply with the third party’s licence or terms when using its services or content.

If third-party material is used under a licence, legal exception, or permission, users must not assume that they receive the same right to reproduce it independently.

16. CollabWise Academy Names and Branding

The CollabWise Academy name, logo, visual identity, and service names may be protected by trademark, passing-off, copyright, or related rights.

You must not use our branding in a manner that:

• Suggests a false partnership;
• Implies unauthorized endorsement;
• Creates a confusingly similar training service;
• Misrepresents the source of content;
• Appears on counterfeit certificates; or
• Damages or dilutes the identity of CollabWise Academy.

A participant may accurately state that they attended or completed a webinar, provided that the statement is truthful and does not imply a qualification or endorsement that was not granted.

17. Certificates

Certificates must not be altered, falsified, sold, transferred, or issued to another person.

You must not:

• Change the participant name;
• Modify the webinar title;
• Alter the completion date;
• Add an unauthorized accreditation;
• Reproduce a certificate template for other users; or
• Present an attendance certificate as a professional licence.

We may revoke or refuse to verify a certificate obtained through fraud, impersonation, unauthorized account sharing, or falsified completion information.

18. Reporting Intellectual Property Concerns

If you believe that content available through CollabWise Academy infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us with:

• Your full name and contact email;
• Identification of the protected work;
• Identification and location of the disputed material;
• An explanation of your ownership or authority;
• Supporting evidence where available;
• A good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized; and
• A statement that the supplied information is accurate.

We may request additional information before taking action.

Knowingly submitting a false or misleading complaint may expose the complainant to legal responsibility.

19. How We Respond to Reports

After receiving a sufficiently detailed report, we may:

• Review the disputed material;
• Temporarily restrict access;
• Request information from the uploader or instructor;
• Remove or replace content;
• Restore content where the complaint is unsupported;
• Terminate repeated infringement; or
• Refer the matter to an appropriate authority or adviser.

The response will depend on the available evidence, applicable law, contractual rights, and the interests of affected parties.

20. Enforcement

A breach of this Policy may result in:

• A warning;
• Removal of submitted content;
• Restricted webinar participation;
• Suspension of recording access;
• Account suspension;
• Termination of service access;
• Revocation of a certificate obtained improperly;
• Preservation of relevant evidence;
• Notification to a sponsoring organization;
• A legal claim; or
• Referral to an appropriate authority.

Where reasonably appropriate, we may provide an opportunity to correct the breach. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect security, privacy, intellectual property, or other users.

Refund eligibility following suspension or termination will be assessed under our Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable consumer law.

21. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy when our services, materials, technology, AI practices, or legal obligations change.

The revised version will be published on the website with an updated date. Continued use of the website or services after an update indicates acknowledgment of the revised Policy, subject to applicable law.
